Pre-therapeutic photorealistic simulations of dental of dental corrections
Small corrections to the anterior teeth can bring great aesthetic benefits. It is usually helpful if the desired correction is visualised in advance with a simulation. This helps the patient to decide on the correction. But occasionally it also gives the practitioner confidence that the planned procedure is the right treatment decision. In addition, differential images make it easier for him to see where composite material needs to be applied or tooth structure removed.
It works quite simply
All you need is your smartphone. The cameras of today's smartphones are perfectly adequate for this purpose. Take a picture in a bright environment with a high resolution. Do not use a flash or direct lighting. This will help you avoid annoying light reflections and achieve better colour depth.
Take the photo with the mouth slightly open. This way, the mouth is darker as a background and the simulations come into their own better.
